It's...

LeinsterConn2021

It's the first match of 2021, and it's an interpro! Connacht take on Leinster in the RDS at 735 on the 2nd January! It's been a disappointing few weeks for the men from the West, and a win in the Dublin home of Leinster would righten the ship! Make your voices heard from across the province!!

Gonna be a fun match, I'd hope. Played very well for such long stretches over the past few weeks, you've got to imagine that our lads will be hungry for a win. Of course, RDS never been a happy hunting ground for us.

Looks like TOH out again, such a shame. We've a long run of games coming up,hope the injuries don't start to pile up again.

I'm only sorry I didn't put a few quid on that match.

Managed to really solidify all the positives over the last few weeks. Huge performances from all over the park, but when Jack Carty scores the most points ever against Leinster in the professional era you know that 's special. Daly was huge, Thornbury too, Buckley was immense as always. Thought Blade had a really solid game too.

Those two intercept tries were things of beauty, real heads up stuff.

Some mild negatives: our tight defence was porus at times - two of their tries were a straight run from the base of a ruck. Not great for us. Also a few missed kicks which didn't matter in a match like this, but equally a 7 point margin would be pivotal in other games.

Great to see the aggression showed by the lads in defense. They did us proud on Saturday night.
Agree with SOL_ie on the mild negatives.
After that performance, It's good that there are things to still be worked out for us.
Hopefully replicate that type of performance against Munster this weekend (CC)

Replicating that performance next weekend vs Munster is now the acid test of this squad and management team. We played wonderfully well on Saturday night, but then we often do in one-off games. We haven't done that consistently since the Pro14 winning season in 2016. All those who played on Saturday really showed up, but special kudos I would say to Delahunt, Thornbury, the back-row, Blade and Carty, and Tom Daly. With Bealham, Boyle, Butler, Papali'i, Marmion, and Aki to come back into contention for next weekend, it'll be interesting to see how many of that six start.
